Long Day, defined: As a test of one's Secret Service guardians,
volunteering to be the hostage/target/taser dummy during a training
day.

Getting shot around, tear-gassed, tasered, and generally abused - all
in the name of training.

And if John Williams was even remotely correct, his detail was
grinning just a bit *too* widely as they did, too.

First up had come PT.

At 6 am, POTUS had joined the latest class of FBI recruits for their
morning run. 5 miles, with the addition by his team of an 80-lb pack.
Oh, and body armor.

Next, range time.

Firing every one of the weapons in the Presidential detail's expansive
armory. From POTUS's personal SIG P226N up to the M4, the bet was to
qualify to Secret Service standards with all of them.

Bet won, $50 from the team would go to the CFC.

Then, lunch, followed by something for which his team was infinitely
more enthusiastic than he was.

Taser training!

Yes, the President of the United States was tasered by his own detail.

Repeatedly. With way too much glee.

Of course, then POTUS got to taser them, too.

Repeatedly. With a cold, quiet efficiency. But not the same glee.

Then came tear gas training. After all, you've never heard singing
until you've heard it followed by the effects of tear gas.

Unarmed combat training followed - an hour and a half of abuse given and taken.

Followed by the highlight of the day - a run-through of the kill
house. First, with live ammunition, by everyone including a very
pumped up President.

Next, with POTUS as the "hostage", by his detail, armed with
simunitions. And tear gas. And everybody's favorite, tasers.

POTUS made a mental note: The joy his detail got out of tasers was
probably not healthy.
