"Anti-inflammatory"
June.4th/2014
Eric van der Werden, Finance Minister
Canada

--------------

The numbers were in. Numbers from a survey of citizens from across the
country about inflation. The Ministry had been doing some research on
inflation within Canada for some time, and now it was finished, and time to
act.

Tomorrow, the deputy Minister of Finance was set to address the Board of
Directors and put pressure on them to drastically the inflation rate of
5.6%. Apparently the Bank had been slacking, as its written goal is to have
inflation rates of between 1-3% annually.

The Deputy Minister was going to suggest such measures such as reducing
growth of the money supply and a return to a more controlled environment
where the bank had higher interest rates. In conjunction with this, the
government was prepared to introduce various financial incentives business
to offset the effects of the banks actions.

Seeing as the Finance Ministry has some not-so-small leverage with the Bank,
most people felt that the bank would play along.
--------------

Actions:

1) Try to get a handle on that nasty inflation rate of 5.6%.
