"Retribution"
President Xia Hong
The People's Republic of China
June 28th, 2014
====================================================
(Just Outside the Executive Residence- Tiannamen Square, Beijing)
One would have thought the world was coming to an end by the number of
sirens which could be heard screeching on vehicles thundering down the massive
causeways in the city's capitol district. National and Beijing City police had
the place on lock-down, backed up by Reservists from the Beijing military
district. Rescue efforts of course received the highest priority, and following
that came the investigation itself. Xia, being neither a medical expert nor
a forensic specialist, knew that it was best for her to simply let things
be, and let the professionals do their job.
Her job was to lead and organize... so in a vibrant red ball gown (she 'had'
intended on seeing the Beijing Symphony Orchestra that night with Wen in one
of their few public appearances since 'the incident') she and her staff
toured the avenue right outside the executive offices. The cowards didn't even
have the gaul for a decapitation strike.
"An example must be made, Madame President." General Bao spoke. "We need
some kind of immediate response. I can take what forces we have in position,
and with your permission, begin striking back."
"What will your plan be?"
"Artillery strikes against border defense positions, concurrent with land
based cruise missile strikes of air defenses, enemy command and control,
headquarters, communications, reconaissance, air fields, and army facilities along
a corridor from the border to Tehran. J-10 sweeps will clear the skies for a
Special Forces Raid deep into Tehran. Troops will fast rope into the city,
break down the doors to Iran's capitol, and round up the Islamic Council.
They will be under orders to kill or capture key members of the Iranian
Government as well, including the President."
Xia nodded. "Do it. I'll go before the PNC and insure their support, but I
doubt we'll have much problems doing so after thi..."
She didn't even finish her sentence when she saw a bloodied body being put
on a stretcher, in a well made Chinese Tuxedo. The face was burned beyond
recognition, but somehow... well women just knew.
"Wen?" She mouthed in a barely audible tone before screaming. "Wen?!"
The people around her barely had time to blink before she took off. Xia was
pretty fast, and the Police knew better than to get in the way. "Wen? Oh
my God..."
Near tears, she took his hand. He looked nothing like the husband she
knew... truth be told he looked more like a cow post-slaughter. "Wen, talk to me.
Please..."
There was a gurgling sound, a squeeze of a hand, and then the Paramedics
loaded him into an awaiting ambulance. Xia looked down to find red, sickly warm
liquid in her palm.
The Iranians would pay for this... she would she to that.

ACTIONS
1. Full attention on the rescue effort. Once all the wounded and dead are
accounted for, the investigation will be most important.
2. Rapid Response: Chinese retaliatory strikes against Iran. Strike fast,
strike hard, and strike deep.
- Troops from China's Special Forces 'Raiders' Regiment to rope into
Tehran and execute arrests of Iranian Governing officials and the Islamic
Council. Chopper out, and then put them on a flight to Beijing.
3. Xinhua to announce the news of 'First Husband' Wen being in critical
condition at the hospital.
