OOC: Sorry I've been quiet guys, life has been C-R-A-Z-Y!

IC:
"The Summit"
Prime Minister Jack Decker
Australia
September 5 2014

Decker applauded as the Japanese PM finished his welcoming address. He'd arrived two days before, with a few key people from Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Defence. And his family, of course. The kids had been cranky that they'd hadn't been able to go to North America when their father had gone, so he was making it up to them, on the condition that in the school holidays (which were towards the end of September) they did a lot of work. Not that the twins needed to be told, they had exams coming up before they knew it.

The family had enjoyed the previous day's activities, the kids loved the monkeys, and Jack's wife hadn't even known there were monkeys in Japan.

The cameras flashed as leaders shook hands, and prepared to get down to business. There were individual groups on narcotics, piracy and terror, with representatives from each nation, at each session. Decker had already laid out what Australia would do, for the most part. They would contribute to any task forces on these issues, as well as stronger liaising amongst the region. They would consider asking permission to broaden the patrol sectors of the Australian military, though the great obstacle to that was Indonesia. Despite cordial relations, both nations were always a little wary of each other.

And so they broke up, and the conference began...

1) Australia's response to the Japanese PM's welcome.
2) Australia to help wherever, whenever and however it can.
