Message-ID: I think, at the moment, WAR may best be described as being in a state of...I dunno what to call it. I don't think anybody wants to declare the game *dead*, but rather that it's probably shelved until that indeterminate point in the future that it resurrects. Has in the past, after all. Which could be next week, could be in a few months. It seems RL managed to claim a lot of us, and also - WAR is a *hard* game, both to run and to play with quality, as we've all seen. This is a good thing, but it occasionally means that setting it aside is a good thing, too. Me, personally? I'm diving into the odd Trek PBEM, plus a new MUSH (also Trek)...or, rather, returning to a MUSH I used to play on. Maybe in a while my batteries will be recharged to take on WAR again. Maybe not. I dunno. Such is my perspective, may be that of others, too. Personally? If WAR resurrects, woohoo. Maybe not immediately, but eventually, I figure I'd play again. If not, okay. It's been - what, 10 years running in its various iterations, almost? It could be that we've played it out. Either way, it's been fun. From my own perspective, WAR has been a chance for me to explore so many things, so many ideas. Which has been great.
